Join CBA Research Chairperson Alan Anderson for a field trip to Busse Woods Forest Preserve (Elk Grove/Schaumburg), where we will stop at a number of the wooded areas, lakes and wetlands to look for waterfowl and other October migrants.
An email to those who register will note the exact meeting location. Possible stops, depending on recent bird sightings: Busse North, Busse West, the North and South Pool from the Boat Rental area entrance, and/or Busse South. The lakes often attract a number of duck species, and land birds should be present along the edges and adjacent woods as well.
Please note that areas along the edge of the North and South pool can be muddy, so plan attire accordingly. Bring binoculars (and a spotting scope, if you have one).
Accessibility: Areas along the edge of the North and South ponds can be muddy.
Please contact Alan Anderson to register at casresearch@comcast.net. Capacity is limited to 15 people, after which a waitlist will be started.
