Meet new people, and help birds

Be a part of our organization’s transformation! We are a grassroots group that is fueled by the energy of people who love and care about birds. Whether you have a little time to spare or would like to become part of our team, you can find an opportunity here:

  • Treasurer: keep an eye on our books (our wonderful office manager does the heavy lifting!) and serve on our executive committee.

  • Instagram Coordinator: We’ve grown our Instagram following to nearly 6,000, and need help with continuing our growth and engagement, including making posts and stories, responding to followers, and coordinating the activities of other CBA Instagram team members.

  • Members events: Party people needed! Plan fun get-togethers for members. We could use some help with planning art shows, auctions, our biannual conference and awards ceremony, get-togethers, and more.

  • Birdwalk leader or co-leader: Attend our field trips and help participants enjoy them. We will provide training to interested new field trip leaders.

  • Habitat restoration: Improve bird habitat at our workdays at Camp Pine. See our Volunteer Events for details.

  • Advocacy Task Force: Join the team that coordinates communications to our representatives and our members about national and local conservation issues.

  • Research committee: Help to organize our community science projects like blitzes and the spring bird count.

  • Ambassador: Represent CAS at fairs and events.

  • Editors and Proofreaders: Edit and proofread articles about birds and conservation for our blog and social media.

  • Membership committee: Join our membership team to help us recruit new members and provide benefits to our current members.
