Chicago Bird Alliance (CBA), formerly known as Chicago Audubon Society, connects people with birds and nature through educational programming, field trips, advocacy, stewardship and research.
Our members enjoy observing, studying, conserving and advocating for local native birds and other wildlife.
For years, Bird Friendly Chicago has fought for a mandatory bird-friendly building design ordinance. While some alderpersons are backing the ordinance, we need more Council members to support it.
For anyone living or working in Chicago, and who wants to stop unnecessary casualties from building collisions, please visit the Chicago Collisions Coalition website for actions you can take now:

The Chicago Bird Alliance would like to highlight the different ways YOU have helped birds this year. Starting today to the end of 2026, call out actions you’ve done that have been beneficial for birds, such as planting native plants, placing stickers on windows, and putting out a bird feeder.
