Hello everyone,
It’s time for baby birds! We saw a Baltimore Oriole on a nest, obviously feeding nestlings. Three fledgling House Finches were flitting about and a mama Wood Duck perched on a log with three ducklings. A few of us observed a cute little juvenile Eastern Wood-Pewee by the soccer field.
Two Willow Flycatchers were present, and some birders both heard the birds and saw the birds too, which is rather unusual. We generally hear them but don’t see them. We had a very large flock of mixed swallows swooping over the lagoon and picking bugs off the water’s surface. They had a breakfast feast.
