This Village of Wilmette park is an excellent place to observe fall migration along Lake Michigan. A harbor is at the south end of the park, jetties project into the lake at the harbor’s mouth–and a sandy beach stretches the length of the park. The beach pavilion at the north end of the park is a good location to scan the lake. Loons, grebes, scoters, Short-eared Owls and Snow Buntings are among the many species that a patient observer might spot
